After five years I have finally graduated with a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Lethbridge. I am so thankful to all my professors, colleagues, mentors, administration, friends, and family for helping me through my educational journey. Luckily, as a teacher your educational journey is never really over and I look forward to learning from my future colleagues.
After some travelling I have finally applied for my first teaching job. I have applied for a Teacher on Call position and am very excited to begin looking for teaching opportunities. Applying for all the necessary certification and improving my online and physical portfolio to prepare for an interview has been a learning process in itself. Now I am only waiting for my Teaching Certificate and my TQS Evaluation to come in the mail. I cannot wait for my first interview. If you have any tips you'd like to share please leave me a comment! They would be much appreciated!

As a blogger I never realized the potential of the tool I have been using for months, especially in the classroom. While blogging can be a fun and meaningful hobby it also has incredible aspects that can help foster learning and relationships with classmates, parents, teachers, and technology. By ensuring that you meet all privacy measures and policies set in place by your school, each student can create their own blog and comment on a classroom blog. This encourages students to explore technology, which in today’s society is a major form of communication and expression. The use blogs also sparks interest in the students who are constantly exploring and adapting to the ever-changing world of technology. Teacher will see more engagement from their students, especially those who tend to be quieter in the classroom setting. Parents will also be able to benefit from classroom blogs because they will be able to see their child contributing daily in classroom discussion forums and be aware of the topics being covered. Overall blogs in the classroom can create a sense of community that reaches beyond the walls of the school.
